The accessories included with this kit are the outside wireless keypad, safety motion sensors,  a backup battery, an LCD Wall control, built-in MyQ WiFi, and (2) 3-button remote controls for your vehicles, although if you car features Homelink you can program them into your car and then you won’t need the remote.

In regards to installation, if you are a do-it-yourselfer, you’ll be able to setup this whole thing in about 4 hours or so. The instructions are pretty straight forward and they have really good videos on their site to help you along the way.

So let’s talk about my top 3 favorite features of this opener.

  1. The first one would definitely be the Ultra-Quiet 1 ¼ HP motor with the steel-reinforced belt. I’ve never used a belt driven opener before, only the kind with a chain, and I was really blown away by how quiet this opener really is. My daughters’ room is right above the garage and the last thing I want to do is wake them up if I’m getting home late. The creaking of the metal door makes more noise than the actual motor of the opener itself.
  2. My second favorite feature is the LCD Opener. This isn’t your basic garage controller. It displays useful info like the time and garage’s internal temperature. It shows you how much battery is left in the backup battery and it gives you access to lots of programmable options for things like TimeToClose for auto closing in case you forget to close your garage door, or the light options. Speaking of light options, it also features a motion sensor on it as well so whenever you walk into the garage at night it automatically turns on and you don’t need to mess with the switch.
  3. That leads me to my third and favorite feature of this opener which is the built-in MyQ Wifi which works with the MyQ app on your smartphone. Now I know what you’re thinking, why would I need to have the ability to open and close my garage remotely if it already comes with a remote for my car and also includes an outside keypad. Well those things are fine, if you’re actually at the house, but what if one of your friends or neighbors needs to grab something out of the garage? I don’t know about you, but I don’t feel 100% comfortable just giving out the keypad pin to everyone. With the app you don’t need to, you can easily open and close from anywhere as long as you have data or wifi on your phone.

The app displays info like whether or not the garage is open or how long it’s been closed. It also allows you to set up alerts for the opener. So for example, if you want to be alerted every time the door opens, you can set that up through the app and it’ll send your phone and even your apple watch a notification letting you know it’s been opened. You can also setup an alert to let you know if the garage door has been left open for a designated amount of time so you can close it in case you or someone else forgot to.

So those are my thoughts on the Chamberlin Ultra Quiet WiFi Garage Door Opener. If you have any questions about this product make sure to post them down below in the comments section.
